Christian Based Recovery

“God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves” – The Big Book

Mark 2 Program – Faith Based Addiction Treatment

We provide Christian based treatment because it works. The relationship between faith and spiritual practice and long-term sobriety is well documented. Thousands of men and women have been able to recover from drug and alcohol addiction through spiritual work and practice. That is why at the heart of our Christian rehab program are faith based treatment modalities including bible study, daily morning devotions, 12 step meetings, regular church services, Celebrate Recovery® meetings and Christian counseling services. In our faith based treatment program, we believe that the problems that lead one to drugs and alcohol and the problems caused by drugs and alcohol can be resolved through faith in God.

Upon entering treatment, clients have the option to choose our Christian Program. The MARK 2 Christian program incorporates elements of 12-step programs and will also utilize a spiritual mentorship program with our trained Christian leaders. Clients have the freedom to attend both program sessions if they feel motivated by their individual needs and counsel of their therapist.

Our program is designed to treat the physical and spiritual aspects of the disease of addiction while simultaneously addressing the mental health ailments that often accompany the disease.

``And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home. And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them. And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic—1 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!” MARK 2 ESV

What is the Christian program?

We are a Christ centered faith-based recovery and dual diagnoses program that uses a non-denominational approach to treatment. Our Christian program is designed to allow clients to establish and or restore their faith and relationship with God while also addressing their addiction. This is an integration of clinical and faith based programming. The program is not a track as some other treatment facilities offer. The tracks usually consist of a Bible study and weekly off-site church service. This program is a comprehensive faith based program.

Who is the program intended for?

We believe a right relationship with God is essential for your recovery success. When this relationship is coupled with maximizing your treatment stay and individualized clinical treatment and Structured Family Recovery ™ we believe you gain the best opportunity for long term success. We honor and welcome those from all Christian denominations as well as those with no faith at all. All that we require for this programming is for someone to be seeking to connect spirituality. We approach addiction and mental health issues from a spiritual perspective and are a fully integrated faith centered program in conjunction with evidence based clinical practice guidelines. We believe that it is important to combine the spiritual component with other clinical programming including educational, clinical groups, relapse prevention, and individual clinical sessions.

What can I expect at the Christian program?

We meet all clients right where they are in their spiritual journey. Our approach encourages clients to have a deeper understanding of God’s forgiveness, mercy, peace and love. We provide spiritual support, guidance, make suggestions and recommendations. The environment is non-judgmental or condemning in nature. We allow his word to come into our lives and connect it to the Twelve Steps.

What type of staff can I expect?

We have a full-time Program Director and two Pastors on staff for individual Christian counseling sessions, groups and client support. Compassionate and experienced therapists to address the clinical aspects of the programming. We also have a spiritual and caring support staff.
