Preparing for Dynamic Life Recovery Centers

Once your pre-assessment is complete, travel arrangements have been made, the next question is, what belongings should you bring to Dynamic Life Recovery Centers for the duration of your stay? We understand that this is a challenging time for you and your family, and want to make it as convenient as possible.

All new patients will have a twenty day blackout period, with access to their family members through their therapist.

We have created for your convenience a guide on what essentials you should pack, leave behind, and what is not allowed on our grounds. While you may be stressed, this is an exciting time in your life where you will be able to reinvent yourself in sobriety and put the demons of addiction in your past once and for all.

Items Allowed At Our Program

  • Clothing: Comfortable and casual. You will be in South Florida weather with year round warm temperatures and sunny skies therefore you must pack appropriately for the weather and keep it light/casual. Remember that you are not trying to impress anyone, so bring clothes that you will feel natural in. We recommend four to five days’ worth—our luxurious facilities provide dry cleaning services. Also, keep in mind we engage and promote exercise, so pack your gym clothes!
  • Toiletries: It’s a good idea to make a list of special items that you want to bring with you to keep up your hygiene. We provide all the necessities—but often people wish to bring extra supplies of their own favorite products.
  • Medication: If you take prescription medication, bring enough medicine with you to cover the length of your stay. If you do not have enough for the duration of your treatment, our clinical team will engage in making arrangements for you.
  • Emergency/Family Contacts: Bring the full contact information (names, addresses, phone numbers) of loved ones that you wish to be involved in your treatment process and Also, the information of your primary care physician.
  • Essential Documents: Bring necessary vital documents such as your identification cards, insurance card, and a debit or credit card if you wish to make special purchases during your stay.
  • Notebook/Journal: Journaling about your experience is a wonderful healing process that will aid in your recovery. If you don’t have one and want one, we will make sure it is provided to you.
  • Pictures: Whether it is pictures of your pets or your loved ones such as your children or wife, being able to see them regularly on a photograph will brighten up your day.
  • Miscellaneous: Do you have a favorite pillow, or a blanket that you can’t live without? Also, it is a good idea to bring a small amount of currency (example: $50.00) for any extra expenses you may wish to indulge in.
